Hubie Kerns is a second generation stuntman, who, trained by his father and other leading stuntmen, began working in the film industry at the age of seven. Growing up, he raced motocross, off road buggies, and off shore sailboats. In college he was an 11 time All American swimmer and continues to compete in Masters swimming to this day. Currently, he is ranked in the top 10 in every swimming event in the United States for his age group. Graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in Cinematography, he worked in the Cameraman Union as an operator, with specialty in underwater and action photography. Currently, Hubie works as on screen stunt talent, Stunt Coordinator, and 2nd unit action Director. He is a member of SAG, Aftra, and the DGA. He was a founding member in 1972 of Tom Anthony’s Driving Team, which developed the art, and techniques of precision driving. Hubie went on to co-found Driver’s Inc in 1986. He is also a member of the Stuntman’s Association and Stunt Coordinators Inc. Having worked in over 1000 commercials, 175 films and 450 TV episodes, Hubie has run the gamut of what has been done, can be done, and shouldn’t be done in on film action. With his expansive work on the concept, design, and executions of stunts, he brings years of experience and a knowledge base that is unmatched in the field of Commercials.
