Millen, Tracy Run the Norra 1000

Rhys Millen has been busy racing in Mexico these past couple months, and this past time out, his Drivers Inc. teammate Greg Tracy came down to race, too.

The occasion was the NORRA Mexican 1000 Rally, a five-day, multi-stage event that featured some fairly treacherous—and fun—terrain as Rhys showcased on Instagram.

At the same time, the race is exhausting, and real test of a driver’s ability to deal with the elements and their related challenges. This Instagram video from Millen on Day 3 says it all—not only from Rhys’ commentary, but from the thick layer of dust covering his suit (and his face).

Millen also provided a driver’s-eye view of the race on the final day.

Just your average outing 🤪 following the Policia with M16’s down the water front as @prestonmurray and I started the final day of @norra1000 yesterday and it looks like we finished up P2 in class. Big thanks to @hankookamerica for outfitting our Chase trucks and Spec trophy truck with a DOT tire tough enough to handle conditions that were failing pure race tires and always to @pennzoil for superior products that never let us down in these extreme 100 plus degree temps 🤘🏻This event makes up the perfect combination of rally and off road racing with sprinting short stages and endurance long stages with the roads being the best I have driven on in the world. Big thanks to the entire RMR team, to @an_racing937 and @blacksheepexpedition @hudson_hall_ @gabe_s_henderson for helping chase and to @polarisrzr for building one tough vehicle. This event we had many stages wins, many first time broken parts, co driver drive the final stage to a top 23 overall and most importantly a ton of fun, laughs and stories. Thank you to all those that support the team with amazing products @justicebros @aemelectronics @superatv_com @madiganmotorsports @fox @factory_utv @ruggedradios @bajadesignsofficial @biggunexhaust @tensortire @methodracewheels @energycoilracing @assaultutv

For Tracy, one of the highlights—or perhaps, the highlight—of the event was bringing along his son, Lane, to work as his navigator.

At the end of the race, Millen was there to greet father and son.
