So Close for Dallenbach at Pikes Peak

Six tenths of a second is barely enough time to take a breath.

For Drivers Inc.’s Paul Dallenbach, it was the difference between the top of the podium, and one step down.

Paul took second at the 2020 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the Open Wheel division, his time of 9:36.181 just barely trailing the 9:35.490 mark of the winner, Clint Vahsholtz.

So close to the overall but just missed out by .6 on race day. But looking back at being far off on day 1 it was a great comeback. 3 months ago I had neck surgery and was not able to lift more than 5 lbs 1 month ago. The Hoffpauir’s gave me a great car on a super slick road. Congratulations to Clint Vahsholtz, he is one of the best up there with 24 wins up on the Mt. it was great racing against friends and co workers @zwart, @rennod had great runs along with @coletheracer and @layneschranz @novembre_racing @omaleyracing @thearclight. I found my .6 seconds. Should have got the hair cut before the race. The extra weight was just too much.
