It takes an iconic driver to drive a would-be iconic car.
That’s the thinking behind Hyundai’s decision to put Drivers Inc.’s Paul Dallenbach behind the wheel of the Iconiq 5 N on Pikes Peak.
As Hyundai details in the description of its YouTube video, Pikes Peak Is About to Get Electric:
“Hyundai returns to the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb June 23, 2024, with two production IONIQ 5 Ns and two race-modified IONIQ 5 Ns, driven by Ron Zaras of The Driver’s Era, eleven-time Pikes Peak winner Paul Dallenbach, Spanish Rally Champion Dani Sordo and King of the Mountain title holder Robin Shute.”

The video shows the Iconiq 5 N speeding across the race track. It’s impressive, but it will be even more so with Paul in Colorado come June.
